Actually, is seems rather inappropriate and unrelated. It is the US A320 in the Hudson. What did a UA or CO Pilot have to do with that, and how does it relate this merger? Pay doesn't seem to be the issue.

Perhaps the 2 MEC's (Wendy Morse/UA and Jay Pierce) should quit the inter- organizational bickering, and get to the table.

UA sent them a letter on August 15th proposing an accellerated negotiations (60-90 days), aftter which they would agree to binding arbitration.

The rank and file should tell their leadership loud and clear - "GET TO THE TABLE" The above letter leaves the ball in Capts Morse and Pierce's court. I don't see how they can state United is dragging it's feet when they declined the offer. I'm not even talking about what the issues are. They (Morse and Pierce) are the one's dragging their feet.....and ultimately, mis-serving those that they are supposed to represent. If rank and file plots want a deal, they should be telling their representatives to "get to it"
