Great to see this; apparently more than 500 cabin crew showed up.

The pilots are experiencing the same merger effects as the passengers: diminished options, less value / compensation, narrower prospects, a bleaker future.

I don't want to ever see another FTer respond to news of an airline merger with a perky "Sounds good to me! More options for passengers!" Mergers are grim news for customers and employees alike. Only managers and shareholders win.

Now that I'm moving away from UA I can root for maximum chaos from the sidelines. I would love to see these guys strike and take down Smisek, and maybe the airline too. Go nuts, people. Nothing left to lose.
