Yes, they had "Economy Comfort" embroidered over the headrest covers - the headsets were indeed, a little cushier.
-4" additional leg room. On a 10 hour flight it is appreciable.
-I could not discern the additional recline either

is free in EC, or at least it is supposed to be. If you are being charged by the FA ask for the purser. Snacks, unfortunately, are still extra.
