Different classes determine different types of fares. The type of fares also differ from one country to the next.

Economy class may mean over 100s types of fare type ranging from date purchased to validity to miles earning to upgrade possibilities.

"O" class means it's a cheap fare.. and possibility accrues no miles, and many restrictions apply. However I do not know that CX has "O" class fare types.
