Agreed. The real question still unanswered though - will flights that earned a COS bonus before such bonii were awarded count? My FIL has a ton of paid C flights from the late 80s/early 90s credited to UA. From what I've seen posted, COS bonus either started late 90s or early 00s.
What is unanswered about it? If he didn't earn EQMs for it at the time then they don't count. I'd be shocked if the end result was anything other than that.
