Apart from the flying dorm (been on it before, don't see what all the fuss is about) are there any other disadvantages of flying to Newark? I thought that maybe the immigration queues could be smaller as it isn't as big as JFK? We are still planning to leave from JFK- many flights available on the return so we can secure the UD then.
Looks like we may be on a non-AVOD aircraft too, the seat map is showing the 4-class VII* configuration. Do the VII* aircraft equipped with NF have AVOD? Maybe we will be lucky and get one of these?
Immigration queues were horrific last time I went through. Luckily I was with my American wife, so we used their lanes.
The non US queues were considerably longer than when I've been through before on my own and it took 45 minutes, so I suspect the queuers were looking at an hour+, so while they may vary, don't expect anything quick, at least if youre on the first BA flight out of LHR
