Sorry, I was referring to the same hub in my example.
for instance, DL 2028 goes DTW->MCO->DTW. Using this kind of numbering is a lot less confusing, as it's the same route and the same plane. Not to mention, no passenger is going to fly to a destination and then turn right back around unless they are on some nuts-o MR.
It also means no one is getting screwed!!
