but anyway, i've had my share of "doing the extra mile" - i've once left my DSLR at a KIX hotel - which is on the mainland. I got to the airport fairly late (some 75 mins before flight) and freaked out, asked for the CX supervisor to call the hotel. (Various reasons, one of which is their better japanese ability to communicate if they are willing to help, which they did) I have no idea what the CX person told the hotel, but they found the camera in my room and took it to the airport straight away. Someone from CX (one of the ground agents who does check-in) who got on her legs to run to the gate (with the train) and gave it to me just before boarding ends.

It should be safe to say this would not occur at too many airports around the world.
