It's not that MP folks are getting extra. It's just that the CO numbers have already taken the bonuses into account.
It is really both, I think.
For someone who has only collected from CO historically the numbers are already set but they are likely higher than they would have been flying comparable flights on UA metal. It is a pretty fair solution to what was a potentially rather messy problem.
