For Avis, there is a charge, but it is a good deal:
Frequent Flyer surcharge of up to U.S. $1.00 per day may apply.

For Dollar, the charge is listed in the Terms and Conditions on the link:
Frequent flyer miles are subject to a frequent flyer surcharge of $0.95 per rental day collected at time of rental.

Thanks.
Thanks for this tip. I have already rented my car for my Florida trip and will ask questions at Dollar.
I will be renting a car in Roanoke VA and will compare the pricing models of Avis vs Enterprise (lower cost) at the ROA airport. As for the Dollar rental, I did not use the promo code US10 to reserve my car. But I will ask when picking up the car, what the charges will be for the FF mile I will accrue.

I learn SO MUCH here on FlyerTalk! Each time I take a trip I always ask a few question here and I get so much information. It not only saves me cash but eases my travel stress. Kudos once again to FlyerTalk and its many members!
