This is not really about an infant. This is about having respect for our fellow travellers and being responsible adults. I have absolutely no problem with infants travelling as long as they are well-behaved. For example, when an infant starts crying in church or a theatre, it is only appropriate to take the child out so others won't be disturbed. Similarly, a crying, noisy child should be handled responsibly by his parents whether he's in a theatre or in an airplane cabin. Unfortunately on an airplane, there's really not a good place to take the child away from others so that they won't be disturbed while he's upset.
