I think this is quite an insult, since they literally assume that I cannot read properly to go to the appropriate area to check-in/board. And my favorite "Are you in the right seat/area" look from the flight purser. These incidents I have also experienced many times on UA and AA.

Actually, especially at HKG where they have the double-bridge boarding system, many Economy class pax try and use the F/J line as the signs are tucked away on teeny TV monitors. It's usually standard procedure for CX staff to either run a boarding pass check on the premium line. Don't take it as an insult, as it appears many people cannot read the TV monitors marking the queues!
