It is tight. If everything is on time then no problems, though not much time to dally. If the inbound to EWR is late then things will go pear-shaped in a hurry.

The transfer requires exiting security, a ride on the AirTrain (or walking) between terminals and then clearing back through security. I don't doubt that it is listed as a legal connection per the MCT but it will be tight.
