Why F0 A0 on CX flight numbers, F4 on AA codeshare?

I'm using my Galileo interface (see http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/people/...travel/galileo ) to watch availability on CX 883 and 881 on Feb 22.

I see the following:

LAX HKG 2150*0515 CX 883 F0 A0 J9 D9 I9 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9#74J B
LAX HKG 2330*0725 CX 881 F0 A0 J7 D7 I5 Y3 B0 H0 K0 M0#346 B

OK, so 881 and 883 are both full in F and A. Interesting.

But then look at 6119 and AA6121, the AA codeshares on the same flights:

LAX HKG 2150*0515 AA6121 F4 J4 Y4 B4 H4 K4 M4 V4 747*C
LAX HKG 2330*0725 AA6119 F4 J4 Y4 B4 H4 K4 M4 V4 330*C

How to understand AA being willing to sell seats on a flight that CX thinks is full? I can think of some stories, but they all seem like a bit of a stretch. Would welcome interpretations from others here.
