I don't think there's any need for clarification. The policy is on demand is NOT a published feature of the business class product. If operational conditions and exigencies permit, Emirates crew will do all they can ---as they do 90% of the time in J in my experience --- to make adjustments in the service pattern to maximize pax satisfaction with the onboard experience. That's all there is to it

I like to adjust my meal patterns on my GRU-PEK runs so I land rested fed and watered and have requested changes in meal service times for myself. I've been told than on demand not poss with the steak, but with pasta no problem.....
