To get status on CX, you'll have to join the Marco Polo Club too (CX has seperated status from mileage accrual). At any rate, I don't think your flights will earn you status fast enough in MPC.

I'd recheck when your BA miles expire as they expire after 3 years if there is no account activity, at least for the north american programme.

Have no idea how many tier points you'll earn in the German/continental Europe EC programme but if it is 150 points (like for the N. American programme), it looks like you can earn BA Silver (OW Sapphire). Unfortunately the tier points counter then resets so you won't earn BA Gold (OW Emerald) without more flying.
