I test it all the time and if the tram is not in sight, it is always same time or less to walk on the moving walkways to the middle stop. I don't run, just a brisk walk.
Same with me. If tram is leaving, I walk. Note that I'm a native New Yorker, so a leisurely walking pace for me can be construed as walking very fast for others (I got this line a lot when I lived in the midwest).
