My wife and I both wear contacts and we use the original Boston lens solution, which comes in a 3.5 oz. bottle. We'll be in Europe for two weeks and ideally would bring two bottles. We are not checking bags.

I understand one can 'declare' a liquid like this and not include it in the 1 quart bag. What specifically do you do to declare it? What if there's no TSO on the outside of the x-ray belt? Who do you tell and what do you say?

Alternatively, we could pour the stuff into 1 oz bottles and take several. Not sure they would like that either.

Thanks.
I will give you the "official" answer.

Your medically declared LGA should still be in a clear plastic bag if you can make it fit, which you should be able to do with yours.

Let the TSO at x-ray know you have a medically declared LGA over the 3.4 oz.

Remove it from your luggage, send it into the x-ray in a grey bin by itself.

That is the official, correct way to do it. However, being just 3.5 oz, you can most likely leave it with your other LGAs and will not have any problems.
