I've had several people spill both hot and cold beverages on me over the years. Each time I chose not to inflame the situation. And each time the spillers were decorous and calm about the mishap, and the FA's helpful, in one case making a makeshift ice pack after pax spilled 18 ounces of hot Starbucks over my thigh and leg, and in another producing a stain remover pen to help pretreat a wine stain from an errant splash from a pax.
Going to fly a lot? Expect this and a lot of other accidents to occur.
I agree with this. Stuff happens. You can either deal with it as one of the minor travails of life, or not. It's not like he spilled it on your laptop or business suit you were wearing on the way to an important meeting, or scalded you with hot liquid. Sometimes, you simply need to take a chill pill.
