Honestly--they may have heard some complaining from 1Ks since CO joined. I tend to book my Asia flights at the last minute (because the K-fares are usually available right up to 72 hours in advance these days). Last time I booked a flight a week out, the E+ section on one segment only had middles left, and of course I whined a bit--a RA finally "found" me a seat. Anyway, E+ has been tight even for 1K. So it may not be that they don't value 2P... just that seats are running out.
