If you have to connect in Europe because you can't get NA>CDG direct, which is a notoriously hard award to get, then seriously consider LH F through FRA or MUC with enough time to enjoy their amazing FC lounges. Well worth the extra miles over C. Plus, if you get on one of the LH 747's you will have a full bed next to your recliner. Check out the LH threads and the many videos on YouTube.

As you'll see in the above thread LH and LX F are highly-regarded transatlantic experiences but not all that easy to get. But not impossible either.
