Best First Class East Coast to Europe next year?
1. Singapore Airlines A380 JFK-FRA, starting January 12. Need to change in FRA
2. Swiss new First on A333 JFK/BOS/EWR/MIA/YUL-ZRH, then change to Paris. Zurich is a much nicer and less stressful transfer experience than FRA or LHR, you can take connecting flight within 40 minutes
3a) British Airways new First from a number of East Coast airports to LHR. Not sure which East Coast airports will be served by new First then, JFK certainly is among them
3b) (as good as new First on BA) Lufthansa new First. Again, to be sure to have the new First, you'd need to be on the A380 which flies from JFK and MIA. However, about half the B744s will be refitted by then
5. Swiss old First on its A340 planes
---- pause ------
6. Lufthansa old First/BA old First (some aspects better in one, some on the other. In sum probably even)
7. Air Fance First ("La Premiere")
I have no experience on the products of United, Delta (no real F), American, US. So I can't tell. But I'd be extremelybsurprised if they made it to anywhere among the top 5 above.
The big advantage of Air France is that it is a nonstop flight! son depending on whether you want to maximise your travel-in-First-Class-experience and don't mind changing planes/making a detour or whether arriving nonstop is more important. If you have to change planes, the best connection experiences are:
1. Zurich or Munich
----- very long pause ------
2. Frankfurt and London Heathrow
