I believe you can only have status miles from 1 top tier level at a time. So if you were P for this year, and you selected the 1500 status miles, those will be clawed back if you select the E status miles. I selected 1000 miles from the E choices this year, and lost them when I received the 2000 I selected with early SE. If you did not choose the status miles with your P package, I don't think anything will be removed.

You also have the ability to select a maximum of 35 eupgrade credits, do you not? I choose upgrade credits over status miles with my E package. Given the year is almost over, you could choose upgrades over tier bonus as well, depending on how much flying you have left to do.
