Wag the Dog
The focus on the safety records of various airlines and whether or not Colgan measures up distracts us from what is really at stake. Do we really want to turn a blind eye to the egregious lack of human decency that Colgan exhibits towards its employees? There are dire structural problems in a company that squeezes their employees so tightly that they are barely making ends meet and have to resort to sleeping (not just taking a nap) in chairs in the lounge and then flying on so little sleep and so much stress (from the overall situation that Colgan creates). Do we really want to sign up for this race to the bottom (literally in the case of CO3407).
