The 6-hour catamaran cruises (which KFT and MM both do) do round the cape and enter Aialik Bay and head up to either Aialik Glacier or Hubbard Glacier.

Yes, the timing works perfectly. This combination (train + day cruise) is extremely popular, so the companies have synced up their schedules quite nicely. Just don't dilly-dally.
