I've always used the ANA tool prior to attempting reward bookings in the past and have always forund it to be accurate in terms of availability. Yesterday I found a number of flights that we were looking for from Knoxville to either Houston or Lake Charles on the site for next July on a one way basis. I then went to the AP site only to find that only 1 of the 4 different options were showing available and it happens to be the 1 we cant make. Checked again today and now even more availability with ANA none with AP.
No problem I thought I'll bite the bullet and pay the fee to call in. The agent tried a number of different ways to get the flights and said they werent available to Ap. When I asked if they were blocking she advised "that only so many flights were available to each carrier". The flights are still on ANA.
I've read some old threads here where AC/AP has denied this but how else can one explain wide open availability with ANA and virtually none with AP ?
Any ideas or are we sol ?
