If you are employed, and the declared income in the application is not compatible with the job, Amex could ask for your latest salary or bank statements.

If your income is a bit short for the Platinum card (the minimum income in France is 80K Euros), I would suggest to apply for the Gold card first, use it a lot in the next months (travel related expenses if possible), and later ask for an upgrade.

Thank you for reply! But the question is: If I'm an endependent emplyed who can they decide if my annual income it's compatible or not with my job?? Also the emplyed don't have a fixed annual income....
