I fully accept (and indeed think I recognised) that early aviators were exclusively male. However, with the advert there were 747s (ie aircraft currently being flown by BA) and there was even a female Concorde first officer if I recall correctly. Whilst I'm not for political correctness gone mad, it is an all-white, all-male group of pilots. Someone pointed this out on Facebook and was given the answer "
we've used female pilots in our videos. You can see them in the pilot recruitment video on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YDisvgzzLo" - purleassssee - a multimillion pound television campaign versus an on-line only recruitment video??!! Don't get me wrong, I like the advert, but BA could have done a bit more to prevent the pale, male and stale cliche.
