I can see BAEC wanting to price out AMS-LHR-GVA reward itineraries, given the new 'surcharge' concessions etc.
However, specifically on the long-haul business and first pure rewards I don't see it makes sense. Purely selfishly as a UK based flyer, I guess the likely extra l/h availability to N America, S America and Africa is to my benefit.
Do BAEC figure eurozone1's will see NYC at 98k total avios in Biz, compared with 100k BA miles now, and figure it won't change behaviour?
Surely for many the WT+ and (20k) upgradios route will work just fine (Henky will get to find out what ET 'Y' is all about?), so maybe that is what BAEC have factored in?
