I would say it is a good opportunity to exert some influence. A rare opportunity nowadays. Although I seriously doubt that BA will rethink their plan to add 18000 miles to a redemption from zone 1, no matter how much noise I make.
An opportunity to influence such as to change things in some way that has a financially material impact on the company? Not really. Minor tweaks to what is presented isn't really going to change much of anything material with regard to what has been decided.
