HKG-YYZ is a non-stop in the winter due to strong tailwinds and the flight makes it in 16.5 hours. But YYZ-HKG nonstop is not possible on any of CX's aircrafts including the new A340-600. Even though CX has rights to fly directly over the North Pole as planned last year for the HKG-JFK nonstop, but a senior purser told me that CX has no plans to implement the rights to the YYZ route.

Only Air Canada's new A340-500 will be able to do the route nonstop in either direction in any season.
