I am Platinum status with IHG and had called Kimpton In Touch to see if they match status & they did very willingly upgrade me to Inner Circle Status. I stayed at the Hotel Monaco - Alexandria, VA this past Sunday for 1 night. Got a great rate on Hotwire and called to have my Inner Circle ID attached to the reservation. Checked in on Sunday and was upgraded from a Queen room to the Mediterranean Suite - 800 sq. ft with living room, separate king size bedroom, very large bathroom with double sinks, Fuji jacuzzi tub, etc. In the room was a cheese tray, sparkling water, & a bowl of mixed nuts/granola. The service I received had to be one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hotel. Everyone from the minute I arrived to checkout was exemplary. I was greeted by name whenever I approached any employee at the hotel. How do they do that???.....All in all a spectacular experience...
