Coach fare does not matter and no additional coach fare is collected. You are charged the lowest published sleeper accommodation charge (D bucket) in order to upgrade. When I upgraded on an AGR roomette award to a bedroom, since my accommodation charge was zero I believe the conductor charged me the difference between the roomette D accommodation charge and the bedroom D charge. Does that make sense?
