The sales clerk was having trouble with the card reader (inexperience). That led to multiple tries and eventually my card got blocked. A day later, it was fine. Mentioned it to the credit union when I got back. Multiple read attempts + out-of-country indicated possible fraud.[/QUOTE
Was in a restaurant in MI, waitperson took the card to the cashier, so didn't see the card run-thru attempt. Off-topic; was doing OLCI in SYD & keyed in a slight typo for the passport issue date. Corrected it, but was flagged "SSSS" on the BP. (Abundance of caution?)
