I have always wondered why CX is not offering HKG-TPE-US flights as they do with Korea and Japan. Malaysian and Singapore Airlines both offer flights to the US with a stop in TPE. With all the US, OZ and EU carriers having abandoned TPE in the last 2 years, I am sure the route must have some potential for CX.
CX offers the cheapest fares of all the Asian carriers ex TPE to the US (USD 600 to LAX,SFO, 700 to JFK) and they could surely charge more for direct flights.
