UA announced the changes to their (revised) FF program for 2012, and one of the additions is that they will reimburse the top three tiers of their members for the cost of a GE membership fee! No details yet if this will also apply to Nexus or the other programs.

Great news for a lot of folks who may have been on the fence. ^ Curious to see if other airlines follow suit and/or what is the benefit to UA for doing such a thing?

EDIT: I just re-read the info on this and it says that they will "compensate" fliers, and that details on the compensation process will be announced at a later date. So very unclear as to whether this will be actual monetary reimbursement or some kind of voucher good towards travel (I am guessing the latter).
