International travel is different... they are relatively weak there, and their peers often have better perks. DL is not useless for international awards (there are specific uses where again they are the best), but in general, not as impressive.
Never is DL the best of the major carriers at international redemptions, especially in premium cabins.
The absolute best that DL can achieve is to be competitive with *A and OW in very narrow circumstances, but in general, they suck.
