how do you insert a response in btn the quotes? </font>
Do this:[list=1][*] While reading the message to which you want to respond, use the mouse to select the entire message. Then, press CTRL/C to put the message in your paste buffer.[*] Click
Post Reply. After you enter your UserName and Password, place the cursor in the
Your Reply box and press CTRL/V to paste the original message (the one to which you want to respond).[*] Next, do some clean-up. Delete any text that you don't want to quote, and delete all of the code that begins and ends with square brackets ([ or ]). Be sure to delete the square brackets, as well. When you're done with this step, the beginning of the text in the
Your Reply box will be the first bit of text to which you want to reply.[*] Now comes the good part. Insert the text {quote} at the very beginning of the reply., but use quare brackets ([ ]) instead of the squiggly ones ({ }) that you see. (If I'd used the square ones, I'd have created a quote in the text.) Now move the cursor to that point where you want to insert your response, and insert the text {/quote}, again using square instead of squiggly. Type your response.[*] When you have finished your repomse and want to begin quoting the next section, repeat Step 4, except you'd of course insert the {quote} where you'd finished your response. Continue this process until you're done.[/list=a]
So, using square instead of squiggly, your reply might look something like this:
Code:
{quote}Stuff another guy said[/quote]
Your reply to that stuff
{quote}More stuff that other guy said[/quote]
Your reply to the additional stuff.
(And Thanks for the ongoing fine information, Flying Pig – hope this is helpful to you.)
