Emergency landing position while sitting backwards
Hi all,
this must have been asked before, but I've been unable to find a thread that covers the topic (feel free to point me to any threads I missed).
I just booked my first BA flight in quite a few years, going from STR via LHR to ORD in business class. From what I understand (the flight being operated on a 777), that flight will have "NGCW", meaning there's a chance that I'll be sitting backwards.
I assume landing and takeoff will be different if I end up in such a seat, but I'm sure it's not a big deal. But I am curious if there's a different protocol for assuming an emergency landing position (should the need arise). It seems to me that the usual position would be counterproductive. The last few years, I only flew LH, LX and SK, so I'm curious what one should do during an emergency landing while facing the back of the bus...
Thanks,
Martin
