Even if a totally innocent clerical error these AD75 made it into public distribution outlets, KE has a legal obligation to notify any purchasers. This is especially true as the definitely know about this sale at this point.
Like most FTers here, I want to believe that this ticket will be honored--and that hopefully miles will be awarded--especially since this fare was sold on several well-known travel sites. I mean, we're talking about Expedia, Travelocity, etc. here!
Anyways, I can't get the worst-case scenario out of my brain: KE agents refusing to check me in and allowing me to board the aircraft. What would you do? I've never been put in this position (*knock on wood*), and as a result, I don't know what the SOP tends to be. Do I hold my ground at the check-in desk? Who do I call? What are the steps that are wholly within my control? If I purchase travel insurance--which, by the way, do you all recommend this?--will that at least help protect me? Any help regarding this doomsday scenario would be greatly appreciated!
