I actually have a 645am arrival into HKG and a 1145pm departure the same day. From reading this thread and another it sounds liek I would have to deplane get my bags and recheck them? Because Cathay will not check my bags through to SYD with a 20hour layover?

Also, I see there are left luggage lockers so I could drop my bags and see the city.
