I meant to post this earlier...

I actually flew on a 757 last week (old domestic configuration) that had working power ports (the old style cigarette lighter socket). I cannot tell if they were actually fixed or, perhaps, never turned off in the first place. (my suspicion is the latter as I haven't seen any other reports here of reactivated power ports).
