each of these responses are about the 'spouse' versus a son or daughter. I think many programs will extend to wife's checking in earlier than a husband or visa versa. (point being, the member is travelling to the site at some point)

They may extend the courtesy to son or daughter, but I don't think it will be seen as the same thing. Especially when the OP says they are not travelling to this site at all, not that the daughter is checking in at an earlier time.

OP, Please let us know if they allow the extended courtesy. I hope they will for your daughter, but I don't think they will.

Maybe someone that has experienced this situation will post. But, it will likely depend on the individual hotel site as it is def. not part of the T&C to extend your benefits to others. (I really think the spouse is considered a courtesy).
