OK, so, again (for the umpteenth time), the point has nothing to do with The Daily Beast, or even Continental, it's that there are so few airline accident involving passengers fatalities in the United States, that to single out an incident is virtually meaningless.
In the case of this thread, the incident is the tragic and horrendous loss of life connected with Colgan and CO 3407, which has apparently spawned an irrational panic regarding the safety record of Colgan, certainly relative to the other regional carriers.
