Folks have been lacking optimism on the AA forum overall; quite sad.
Regarding the equipment change," RIP " ? Are you serious? In the 10+ years I have been on Flyer Talk, I have seen all domestic 777 routes go, only to return within a year or so. That's not RIP.
Even the MIA-LAX-MIA daily 777 that I enjoy taking comes and goes due to aircraft logistics, positioning, and where AA needs the equipment more. Yes, this gets down-gauged to a 757 as well, and this route is probably the only domestic 3 class consistently using the 777.
