OTOH AFKL computers don't work very well
(Ie dysfunctional OCI, Promo Award Booking and of course the Inflight Purchases miles which are never credited, despite FF# on slip)

Im aware of this, of course, but is it "always better" given the high fees? I feel the Promo Awards give decent bang for the buck, though, esp in C which I used for burning. Also, it's not like I really enjoy flying KL, especially in cattle. I've further developed my comparative dislike for KLM after switching to a carrier that clearly strives to block a middle seat in Y for me, whenever possible. And OP-ups me, instead of their friends, relatives and whatnots.
But thank you for your replies, I guess I'll have to deal with this soon. I have looked briefly at the disorganized flying poo site and didn't find any nice burning options. Did I miss any fun way of burning miles?
