What strange and interesting turns this thread is taking

I could not in good conscience swear a statement to the police stating that I believe that this is a case of identity theft however much leverage such action might give me.I don't believe that to be the case,regardless of what the HI Brussels Airport and Amex might construe from their dodgy procedures.

I might investigate your advice about lodging a report online - doesn't seem as bad perjuring oneself to a computer nor wasting a computer's time. After all I have a lot of free computer time over the next few weeks while watching the Rugby (well at least until Australia is eliminated by Russia)
