Thanks for the post and for the detail. This is fascinating to me as part of what constitutes "celebrity" as well as why I like this thread . I have been on a flight and also in the lounge at the same time as Robert DeNiro a couple times. Once in JFK and once in LHR. Both those airports have CK/5 Star staff certainly. But he didnt use them. He boarded by himself when the flight was called. Im fairly confident in saying he is a MUCH bigger star than she is, but she got the celebrity handling. To me, how the different people are handled is as interesting, if not more so, than the IDs of celebrities.
Not to thread hijack, but funny you should mention DeNiro. I met Al Pacino at the JFK AC a couple of years back and we had a short chat while waiting at the bar for our respective drinks. He was surprisingly down-to-earth and "normal." Although he had a younger male traveling with him, who I assumed was some kind of assistant based on demeanor and overheard snippets of their conversation, he otherwise did not seem to require "special handling" either.
