It is not as "ludicrous and false" as you say. In the past couple of years there has been quite a few incidents on CO where people were seriously injured. But both are so small, it doesn't really matter. Both are very safe statistically.
I provided numbers and you're responding with an opinion. With all due respect, I don't think your anecdotal perception has a statistical bearing.
