So would August 2011 be an outlier, given that the LSL has been on-time 49% (that's about 50% more than August) for the last 12 months?
It would be interesting if Amtrak posted the average delay, given that a train that's been traveling up to 50+ hours (like the California Zephyr) is considered late if it arrives in Emeryville 31 minutes after the scheduled time.
(I'm not good at proportions, but I think that would be like calling all transcons that didn't arrive within 3 minutes of schedule, "late".) As always, I stand to be corrected.
